When Bang & Olufsen launched the Beoplay A9 back in 2012, we all knew that here was a very exciting product that could well go on to become a bestseller. Now, over 10 years later, we dare say that Beoplay A9 has become a modern design icon and a strong statement for Bang & Olufsen. It’s a product that continues to impress our customers and with the introduction of the 5th generation Beoplay A9, Beoplay A9 joins the Beosound family of products and becomes Beosound A9. We have taken all the good stuff from the previous generations of Beoplay A9 and improved them further with:
- The implementation of the Mozart module: Beosound A9 is now equipped with the Mozart module, giving the products new capabilities, new purposes and new possibilities. It brings new life into our products. Mozart is Bang & Olufsen’s software platform, created to ensure that the life of our product extends beyond physical design and craftsmanship. A seamless experience that embraces Bang & Olufsen’s luxurious touch and is designed to be updated, improved and evolved for years to come.
Upgrading with the Mozart platform will bring you the following benefits:
1. New B&O app user experience
You can easily customize content, audio settings and set timers and alarms.
2. Powerful streaming platform
In addition to enabling a quick setup, the new platform is easy to use and ready for future software updates.
3. Modular design of electronics
The Mozart platform is designed according to modular principles. This means that the Beosound A9 is easy to service and repair and allows for future upgrades to the streaming module.
4. Long-lasting and circular
We work with Longevity in mind to give our products a long life through evolution, upgrade and repair. We even intend to extend this beyond the first life to support reuse and recycling. This is what we call circularity.
- Design updates: We are introducing three new standard versions. Black Anthracite, Natural and Gold Tone.
Black Anthracite has been updated with Dark Oak legs and Black Anthracite aluminium frame. The back and front cover remain black.
Natural Aluminium has been updated with a light grey Kvadrat wool front cover and the white back has been given a new Grey Mist colour for a warmer, more subdued look. The aluminium frame remains natural and the legs in oak.
Gold Tone has been updated with a warm and beautiful sand color on the back that compliments the warm golden aluminum frame, Golden front cover from Kvadrat and light oak legs.
