“The Classics initiative is born out of Bang & Olufsen’s goal to create long-lasting products that are relevant to our consumers many years after they have purchased our products. We live in a world where consumer electronics are seen as use and throw away products. But at Bang & Olufsen, we make electronics that are made to be used year after year. That’s what sets us apart as a brand, that’s what a refurbished Beogram 4000c beautifully epitomises and that’s what we will build on in the future.”
Mads Kogsgaard Hansen, Sr. Global Product Manager for Classics & Product Circularity.
The Beogram 4000 upgrade builds on the original turntable’s original appearance
– with small significant changes.
A beautifully crafted, handmade solid oak wood frame emphasises the visual warmth and intimacy of the design. A new dust cover protects the player when not in use, making Beogram 4000c an elegant and refined part of the décor.

Trin 1
Disassembly and inspection
The refurbishment of the original Beogram 4000 turntables starts by sending them to the factory in Struer – where they were originally created. To assess what needs to be done to each unit, each Beogram is manually disassembled and thoroughly inspected.

Trin 2
Renovation and restoration
Once this process is complete, each component is carefully cleaned. Parts are replaced – from the smallest screw and ball bearing to the drive belt – to ensure the turntables work perfectly. To achieve the superior sound quality we demand from all our products, each turntable is tested and fine-tuned manually until our engineers are 100% satisfied with the sound quality.

Trin 3
Rebuild and upgrade
Then we replace the handcrafted solid oak frame and install a new dust cover to protect the player when not in use. Our final step is to upgrade the technology – installing a preamplifier and adding a brand new pickup.
